In 2005, Jeff Gordon and the No. 24 DuPont team took off like a rocket, logging three early season victories including the Daytona 500. While the team lost some momentum midway, they did pick up a vote of confidence from primary sponsor, DuPont. In June 2005, DuPont recommitted its sponsorship of Gordon's No. 24 DuPont Chevrolet until the 2008 season with a two-year extension option.Next year will mark DuPont's 14th season as the full-time sponsor of the No. 24 Chevrolet.
